Tentative Schedule

Family Nighttime Easter Egg Hunt
The Town will hold its fifth annual nighttime Easter Egg Hunt on Friday, April 19th beginning at 7:00 pm. Teams of four will compete against each other. This event is designed for youth and adults and will be held at Bridgeview Park. Participants will need to bring their own flashlights to the event. Registration is required and will only be taken by phone, call (910) 842-6488.

Easter Sunrise Church Service
Brunswick Islands Baptist Church and Holden Beach Chapel are sponsoring an Easter sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. Sunday April 21st at the Holden Beach Pier.

See Every Athlete Run for Conditional Health. The purpose of the program and of this event is to work on reducing childhood obesity by promoting healthy, active lifestyles into adulthood. The event is scheduled for the first Saturday in _____ this year it is on the ___. (Not Scheduled)

HBBC Plant Sale
Holden Beach Beautification Club annual plant sale is April 26th & 27th at the EOC building. All funds generated are earmarked for beautification projects on the island.

Days at the Docks Festival
This is either a one or two day event. The festival occurs in April or May of each year and is sponsored by the Greater Holden Beach Merchants Association. This year it is April 27th & 28th. It’s the Holden Beach way to kick-off the Spring and start the vacation season.

Pickleball Tournament
Battle at the Beach this year the tournament is May 3rd to May 5th.

Summer Concerts on the Coast Series
Live performances featuring local musical groups are held at the pavilion on Sunday evenings from  Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend. The concerts are free of charge. Popcorn sold at the concerts is used to support the concerts and fund beautification projects in the area.

Seaside Tour (Gardens, Pools & Patios)
Holden Beach Beautification Club will present the Seaside Garden Tour on _____. Eight private homes on the island will highlight the event. (Not Scheduled)

Tide Dyed Program
This event is located at the Holden Beach Pavilion. Tie dye your own shirts, the cost is just $5 per shirt. It takes place at 2:00 p.m. every Tuesday during the summer.

Turtle Talk
Two programs both are held every Wednesday during the summer at Town Hall. Children’s Turtle Time is at 4:00 p.m. with crafts, stories and activities for children ages 3 – 6. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Turtle Talk is an educational program at 7:00 p.m. for everyone else.

Summer Day Camp Program
Day Camp is on Thursday during the summer beginning June 13th and is open to children ages 6 – 12. Kids can join us this summer for a variety of fun activities. Click here to view our Camp Schedule with each week’s activity and cost. Space is limited, you must pre-register. Completed registration forms must be mailed in with payment or dropped off with payment to Town Hall. Payment is non-refundable.

NC Festival by the Sea
Hosted by the Holden Beach Merchants Association this two day festival occurs on the last full weekend in October this year on the 26th & 27th. This two day event is kicked off with a parade down the Holden Beach causeway. There is a fishing tournament, horseshoe tournament, and a sandcastle building contest. Vendors provide food, arts and crafts, amusement rides and other activities. There is live musical entertainment both days at the Holden Beach’s Pavilion. 

Tree Lighting
The event is held at the Holden Beach Pavilion and usually falls on a Thursday evening at the beginning of December. The Town facilitates an annual tree lighting ceremony with activities for the family and a chili cook-off.

Run Holden Beach
The fifth annual “Run Holden Beach” event is scheduled on Saturday, January 19th.  Coastal Race Productions is planning a 1 mile “turtle trot”, 5k walk / run and a half marathon with all of these races starting and finishing under the bridge. This will all be followed by live music, games and an after party at the Holden Beach Pavilion.
